The One Sentence "Zinger"    


Step 2: The One-Sentence "Zinger"

Put your idea into a one-sentence "zinger" that includes Character, Context, and Action. Include irony if you can. The form is:

An (optional adjective) subject, in this situation, acts to do this.

Examples:
A Lever Long Enough: A small military team travels back in time to film the theft of Jesus' body from the tomb.

Nest Among the Stars*: An astronaut conducting a remote drilling operation of Jupiter's moon Europa notices an asteroid suddenly heading toward the Earth.

Romeo and Juliet: Two teenagers from warring families fall in love and must overcome obstacles of hate to stay together.

You'll use this sentence whenever anyone asks you what your book is about.
