Matthew 21: 12-17
Jesus entered the temple area and drove out all who were buying and
selling there. He overturned the tables of the money changers and the
benches of those selling doves. "It is written," he said to them, "'My
house will be called a house of prayer,' but you are making it a 'den
of robbers.'" [NOTE: Isaiah 56:7, Jeremiah 7:11]
The blind and the lame came to him at the temple, and he healed them.
But when the chief priests and the teachers of the law saw the
wonderful things he did and the children shouting in the temple area,
"Hosanna to the Son of David," they were indignant.
"Do you hear what these children are saying?" they asked him.
"Yes,"
replied Jesus, "have you never read, "'From the lips of children and
infants you have ordained praise'?" [NOTE: Psalms 8:2]
And he left them and went out of the city to Bethany, where he spent the night. (NIV)
Mark 11: 15-19
On reaching Jerusalem, Jesus entered the temple area and began driving
out those who were buying and selling there. He overturned the tables
of the money changers and the benches of those selling doves, and would
not allow anyone to carry merchandise through the temple course. And as
he taught them, he said, "Is it not written: 'My house will be called a
house of prayer for all nations'? But you have made it 'a den of
robbers.'" [NOTE: Isaiah 56:7, Jeremiah 7:11]
The chief priests and the teachers of the law heard this and began
looking for a way to kill him, for they feared him, because the whole
crowd was amazed at his teaching.
When evening came, they went out of the city. (NIV)
Luke 19: 45-48
Then he entered the temple area and began driving out those who were
selling. "It is written," he said to them, "'My house will be a house

Every day he was teaching at the temple. But the chief priests, the
teachers of the law and the leaders among the people were trying to
kill him. Yet they could not find any way to do it, because all the
people hung on his words. (NIV)
John 2: 13-17
When
it was almost time for the Jewish Passover, Jesus went up to Jerusalem.
In the temple courts he found men selling cattle, sheep and doves, and
others sitting at tables exchanging money. So he made a whip out of
cords, and drove all from the temple area, both sheep and cattle; he
scattered the coins of the money changers and overturned their tables.
To those who sold doves he said, "Get these out of here! How dare you
turn my Father's house into a market!"
His disciples remembered that it is written: "Zeal for your house will consume me." [Psalms 69:9] (NIV)
