Jesus' Last Week of Life

The next few pages highlight some major events that occurred during the last week of Jesus' life. For each event, I'll cite the relevant passages and then mention some points that caught my attention when I studied this subject in depth.

A brief calendar of events includes:

• Sunday before the Thursday Seder: ("Palm Sunday")
  Jesus enters the city of Jerusalem for the Passover celebration.
   
• The Week Before the Seder:
  Jesus throws out the merchants on the Gentile portion of the Temple (the Temple Mount).
  Judas goes to the Jewish authorities and offers to betray Jesus
   
• The Seder on Thursday Night (the "Last Supper"):
  Judas leaves supper to betray Jesus:
   
• Late Thursday Night / Early Friday Morning:
  Jesus and the disciples leave.
